Cheapskate!

I bought some cheese at Wal Mart and it tastes like socks that someone has worn for a couple weeks, and I paid five bucks for the stuff. My brother told me I would look like a cheapskate if I got a refund, but Jesus, Mary and Joesph we are talking 5 bucks here. What say you

some cheese does taste bad. If it was something new you tried and it is not "bad" eat the cost and put it up to experience.

The thought of returning food to the grocery has never in my 28 years occurred to me.

I'd be surprised if they took it to be honest.

The fact that you know what 2-week worn socks taste like is cause for concern, sir. You got bigger problems than cheap cheese.

Well I don't really know what it's like to have socks not washed in 2 weeks, but this cheese tastes like smelly feet smell like

Interesting, I've always been surprised by what Walmart will take back in returns. There was a thread here once where they took back a year old vacuum cleaner that died for example.

I've returned a grocery item once rotten clementines. Best part is they had a 200% guarantee so I got double my money back.

Take it up with God, He makes the cheese, Wal Mart just sells it.

I see no problem with returning food that has gone bad or is prepared wrong.

However if you buy something you've never had before or just don't like the taste of it I think you should give it to a friend and tell them that it is very good and they should try some. Try to keep a straight face.

If you're stuck with a bunch of stinky cheese, go find a Prius with an Obama bumpersticker, an unlocked trunk or gas cap or tailpipe or open window or whatever, and ...

I am a much bigger cheapskate then you. If they overcharge me $.25 (or more)I bring it up. Yes I realize its not worth my time. Why should I let them rip me off? Local WM is very good with it. I bring receipt (if I didn't catch it at till) Mark area. they hand me my $$ If they are busy they just take my word for it. (I still hand it to them)

Food that is bad BEFORE its "best if used by date" I bring back. Food I decide I don't like I feed to dog. (he will eat anything) I bought some stuff in store 60 miles away. (yes I have cooler with ice as this was in late summer) I tried it and it was spoiled. I called store "bring it back for refund" I said I will not be back in area for 2 weeks. "No problem. We will put a card with your name, amount and when you come in just ask for it" "on second thought, can I get your address? We will just send it to you"
Stores want your business. Compared to what some folks do a legit complaint is nothing. I find meat in cereal isle, other cold foods left around store. Go middle of night, bigger city, and carts by register. Folks on smart phones (that you and I pay for) Then hear swearing and some just leave card and walk out. Lots of good cuts of meat. Store has to toss most of it. (seems the ebt card amount was not what they thought, there was a delay,etc...

Local news even sent cameraman to one store. Folks got VERY upset they picked on "disadvantaged folks" The story was on the WASTE. They took pains to NOT show folks faces (unless they interviewed the person of course)
They had stuff in carts they left that I don't buy. (because IMO its overpriced)
