ILL: Gov Quinn uses AV power as expected. It's pretty bad...

Governor Quinn used his AV power.

Illinois concealed carry faces some draconian new provisions if they can't override these new provisions.

IL: Gov. Quinn uses Amendatory Veto for draconian new provisions

No Applebees carry, only carry 1 gun... how about only carrying one magazine?

How is it bad? I thought it was passed with a super majority? Override it.

Now you are going to see the difference between political lip service and civil rights.

I will change my opinion of Chicago politicians if there is an override.

As I understand it the Assembly can do one of three things. Nothing and the veto stands, accept the Gov's amendments with a majority vote or override with a three fifths majority.

The Bill sponsor filed a motion to override.

A vote on the original bill and corresponding AV override is inevitable now.
