Born on date

So I'm trying to figure out the born on date of my Gen 3 model 26.

The barrel stamp is AT and the Serial # is VNC●●●

The AT comes up as Dec 8. Is that Dec. 2008? Its confusing me because I just bought this gun 3 months ago.

Well its located right next to the Glock symbol on the top of the barrel where supposedly you find the born on letter code.

VNC would be the born on date, or check the date on the fired brass in the case. This date is said to be a good indicator.

VNC dosent match the listed letters to reference. I chucked the spent brass along with the speed loader on day one.

See: http://www.glocktalk.com/forums/show...+serial+number

While "VNC" is not specifically listed in the thread, VNC falls in the July 2013 timeframe, if that's close enough for you.

Ok, the first three letters on my 30s didnt referrence either. The yellow enveolpe in the gun case with the brass was test fired on 12/3/2013, so may that a good indicator you gun is newer.

Born on date is only for skunk Beer and kids...date on that little envelope is when it was test fired...the mfg date of everything is not the same, the serial number stamped may be off a year, the barrel code also etc....it just matters to Glock for record keeping.
