Talk Me Into My Next Glock Purchase
OK here's the deal. I've got another handgun permit to fill. It's going to be a Glock but I don't know what.
Currently in the safe is a G19, G22, G23, and G26. I live in Jersey so I'm limited to 15 rounds (so no G17). I can't carry at the moment (because of NJ!) but I am interested in something I can carry when I eventually move to Florida.
I've ruled out owning any 10mm or .45 GAP.
I currently don't own any .45s so I'm thinking G21 or G30. But a .357 sig has always interested me as well.
Start talking me into something. I'm interested to see some opinions................

If you see it as a gun for self defense, then it's gotta be a second G19.
If you see it as a gun for fun and plinking, etc... than anything will do.

I did just buy a new 32c/.357sig., and after about 65 rounds, I can say it "does shoot"! I do like it, but then I already have a sig p229 in .357sig/.40/9mm. I will probably also buy a 9mm conversion barrel for the 32c, "just because I can"!

Get the Glock 27 a good match for your Glock 23

I vote for a 27. Maybe a 30S. Im a Sig Armorer and I haven't been impressed with what they're offering lately. If you go with a Sig, I would reccomend something older and German made like a 228, 225 or older American 239.

Since you have no 45 and moving to florida I would look at the G30,30S,30SF any one of those flavors!
G30 is the best Glock IMO

For concealed carry there is not much in the Glock lineup that is smaller than the Glock 26, so if you wish something smaller for concealment another brand would probably have to be the choice. A Glock 34 can be alot of fun at the range and I like the balance of it a bot better than the G17. Notwithstanding the immediate situation, a .22 can be alot of fun to shoot for an afternoon for little cost compared to anything that center fire.

Get a Gen 4 G21 while you can still get three 13 round mags with it!

I'm ruling out other brands at this time. And to the suggestion for a Kahr, I've had a bad experience with them and their customer service in the past so they are no longer an option.
I'm mostly hearing G27 and G30. What about a G36? Is the size difference worth it compared to the G30?

G36 is low capacity and does not shoot as accurate as the G30!

2nd vote for Kahr CM9; give them another chance. I paid $410 out the door for my CM9 it has been 100% reliable with 300 plus rounds.
It is my carry gun in summer in Sticky Holster in front pocket of cargo shorts. Carry Glock 26 in fall and winter.

Variety sucks when you have a pile of ammo and mags in another caliper.

This is a fair point. I already have G22 and 23 mags that will work in a G27.
OK back to G30 for a moment. Can someone give me the pros / cons of the G30 verses the S and SF sub models?

The S is new. Its like a G36 slide on the 30 frame.
The SF is shorter grip front to back.
The con of the S might be more felt recoil but its a New gun so don't think anyone knows here yet.

G17 with 10rd mags or G32/31(depending on your size preference).
