Just Picked up my Brand New gen 4 G21

I just picked up my brand new gen 4 Glock 21 today. I've had numerous Glocks in the past, including gen 1,2, and 3 models. This is my first gen 4 though. I can't wait to get it to the range to try it out. It has a "date collected" of 02/04/13 for the fired case samples, So it is only a few weeks old. I'm curious to see if there will be any "brass to the face" issues like others have experienced. We shall see....

Congrats, you picked an awesome Glock for your first Gen4 model. I don't own the G21 Gen4 but had an opportunity to train with one and fire 250 rounds. The Gen4 grip texture and the new dual recoil spring for the Gen4 G21 is a great combination for easy control and fast follow-up shots.

I must ask my obligatory poll question for new Gen4 Glock 45ACP owners. What is the trigger bar number installed in your Gen4 G21? Is it 4256-1, 4256-1-, or 4256-2?

Enjoy the first trip to the range with your new Gen4 G21!

I just obtained my G21gen4 last week. I had not one issue with brass in the face or any other problems. It ate all of the ammo that I fed it (150 rounds). Congrats and enjoy!

Got my G21 Gen 4 in June and I absolutely love this gun! I have 3 other Glocks and if I could only keep one it would definitely be the 21! Very accurate shoots anything you put through it. Have about 1000 rounds through it and zero malfunctions!

Hope you have better luck than I have had with my gen 4.
Nothing but BIF and erratic ejections of all kinds, even after my first Gen 4 was replaced by Glock and I got a brand new one.
Gen 3 21 has no problems.

Glockcubed, what is the collection date of the sample fired casing in the little yellow envelope?
GRT45 the trigger bar is a 4256-2. The ejector is a 8196-2 for what it's worth. Hopefully I'll get to the range this coming weekend....if I can find any ammo.

Thanks for checking and posting the findings.

Both the 4256-2 trigger bar and 8196-2 ejector are standard issue for the Gen4 G21, but it has been a mystery of late in the G21. One buyer of two Gen4 pistols reported one had 4256-1 and the other 4256-2 in pistols only separated by a few digits in serial number. Neither version has been a source of problems in the Gen4 G21 to my knowledge. You're good to go.

I just received a NIB Glock 21, gen 3, from a trade today, and I LOVE that pistol!...It came with (3) 13-round Glock mags, and all the "goodies".

Mine has a test date of 1-18-13 and has the 4256-2 trigger bar.

Congrats!
I shot mine yesterday. It is a sweet shooter! I love it! I only wish I had more ammo to put through it. This gun may just get me into reloading!

The case from the first round I ever put through it came back and hit me square in the middle of the forehead, but after it got that out of its system not one other case has hit me (other than bouncing off the divider).
