How far is your commute?
To work that is? How long does it take you to drive to work? I took a job because I've been unemployed for awhile. Down side is its a kinda long commute. But until I find one close guess Im gonna stick with it.

Mine is 16 miles each way. It takes me about 20-25 minutes. I wouldn't really want to drive much further, but you do what you gotta do for work.

Depends on traffic, but about 45 minutes @ just over 30miles. The first 10 going to work and getting home are on winding mountain roads.

It's 38 miles one way for me at the moment. But until I can find a job closer to home guess I'll do it. Gonna keep looking.

Some days I just go to the office in the basement.
Mondays it is about 15 minutes to that office. The rest of the week it is 20-25 to the other office. Many days I just see clients, mortgage brokers, title companies Etc. Anywhere from 5 min to one hour each way.

I work from home 3 days a week, and go to the office twice a week.
When I have to go into work it is 2.3miles away and takes me 5-10min depending on how I hit the 3 traffic lights.
At home my commute is about 50ft from my bed to my office and takes about 15seconds depending on how slow I walk.

3.1 miles. It takes exactly 5 minutes.
And that's the only reason I can justify driving my 12 MPG truck too. It's also incredibly convenient to be able to go home on my lunch break everyday to eat, check the mail, and let the dog out.
I'm one of those people that would hate life if I had to spend 8-10% (or more) of every day driving to and from work.

5 miles, takes about 10 - 20 minutes depending on if I have to drop my son off at school on the way in. Used to be 4 miles, but we moved to new offices last year. Nice thing about the old location was that it was 2 miles from the pistol club I belonged too, so I could shoot at lunch.

Yup.
When I lived in Houston I was 20miles away and it took at least 90min each way. That ruined me for life and I can't handle traffic at all anymore. When I moved to Round Rock I just did a small circle around the office and said "I will live within here, I don't care what is outside of this small commute circle"

5 miles. I drop my son off at school which is within walking distance when it's nice weather. Same as PVolk, my truck gets about 11mpg, otherwise I'd be driving something smaller. I used to go home for lunch but since gas went up so much I don't anymore. Dog has to keep his legs crossed all day...

A 25 to 30 minute drive never bothered me, but these days my drive is 10 to 15 minutes to work (and back, if the holiday traffic isn't clogging the streets), and I love it. It's not nearly as good as working from home, though.
Of course, since I have a second place to stay near work during the week, my two hours each way on the weekend certainly makes up for the savings.

15 miles, takes me 20 minutes to get there, but 30 minutes to get home. Traffic is heavier at night.
