Finally found a Gen 4 G21
Called around and finally found a Gen 4 G21! I rushed down to the shop and picked it up after work yesterday.
I cant wait to shoot it!
It feels pretty good in my hand. I like the Gen 4 grip!
I did notice a little slack in the slide to frame fit at the rear. It rattles a little if I shake it side to side. Anyone else notice this?
Sorry no pics, not sure where to host them, besides its just a plain jane G21 Gen 4 we've all seen them before.

Put an unloaded mag in, rack the slide to charge the striker- does the rattle stop then? My 26gen4 does the same (if its the same rattle were talkin about). I noticed quite a gap brtween the slide and frame too- on any glock. Part of what makes them so friggin reliable!
Congrats btw- love the gen4 grip myself. Everyone fawns over the gen3, and call me a blasphemer but I prefer the grn4 tbh"

Congrats! My little shop has a Gen 4 Glock 21 and I have to talk myself out of buying it on a daily basis. I love that gun but I already have a Gen 3 Glock 21 that has been my faithful companion since the day I bought it and I don't want to buy the Gen 4 only to let that set or to shelf the Gen 3. I'll just live vicariously through you with the Gen 4 21 until it finally becomes too much for me and I give in and buy it.
After spending a bit of time with the Gen 4 Glocks I am really starting to like them better than the Gen 3's. My newest Glock, a Gen 4 G34, is quickly becoming my favorite gun rivaling my G21. I love the grippy texture and the oversize mag release. Let us know how it shoots!
Now just when I thought I'd talked myself OUT of buying that G21....

Glock's 800,000 guns behind according to another thread. I'd buy it now unless you feel like potentially waiting a year if someone else does

I'm also interested in getting a G21. My local supplier advised me that the Gen 4 G21 is on back-order with an estimated delivery date sometime in March :(

I doubt its the striker, but I will try that when I get home. When unloaded I usually keep the trigger pulled and to the rear, it helps me know visually if the gun is unloaded, so if may not rattle with the striker charged like you say.
I may just be a little paranoid because I paid a little more for this one than my other Glocks, and this one was harder to come by, still I never noticed any rattle on my G17.

Congrats, the Gen4 G21 is my favorite .45!!
The "rattle" is normal. When the trigger is all the way back, it rattles. When it's all the way forward, it won't rattle. Perfectly normal.

that is a good point. I know I want one it's just a matter of that feeling you know something else will show up right after you've bought one. I technically don't 'need' it but man I sure would like it! LOL

Seems like the G21's rattle more than any other models. I'm wanting a G21 Gen4 Dark Earth model to go with my OD G21.

Well I checked it out this evening and even when the trigger is forward it still has a little rattle. I dont think there is anything wrong, but it does have more slack in it than any of my other Glocks.
I'll take it to the range this weekend and see how it shoots, if its dead on and groups well I'll just learn to accept a little noise.
I might mark a point off on "fit and finish" if I were keeping score.

Congrats!
I think you will find that it was worth the extra effort. One of my favorite Glocks, ever.

I love my Gen4 21, one of my favorite Glocks. Never noticed a rattle on mine, but then again I have never checked. Just go shoot it!
