New member, looking to add a Glock of some type to my safe.

YOU!!! WELCOME!!! You might try the original, 17, or a 19. The Glock was designed originally for the 9mm. I like the gen4 frame. Good Luck there.

Welcome aboard! Although I don't own one, it'd be hard to go wrong with a G19. I've shot a G26 and it's pretty sweet, too. FWIW, my EDC is a G30.
