Alabama holster company

Anyone have any recent orders from them? How long did it take to get your order?

I was told 9 weeks when I ordered and hit that mark this week. I'm itching to get my holsters and try them out. I've seen some great and not so great things about the lead time on a google search.

Just curious if anyone could shed some light/experience.

Took all of 12 weeks....and as bad as I hate to say it.....I don't think the quality was as good as other holsters I have received from them.

I ordered one the last week of october, was told it'd be 6-8 weeks. Received it february 6.
As for the quality, it's alright. But after 2 1/2 months I bought a galco pocket holster and use it mostly. That 3 1/2 month wait and no responses to emails kinda soured me on the alabama holster.

I know it's a long wait but he is a one man shop. Nice guy too. I got mine in about 3 months. Quality seems good to me.

He did respond to my emails, and my calls as well.

Sent an email out of curiosity to try and get an update. Been a couple of days and haven't heard anything. Guess I'll just keep sitting tight.

I ordered two holsters for range/walking around the property use so it's not like I'm sitting here waiting on a daily carry rig to arrive. That's how I'm going to keep positive about it. And he was One of the few people I found to make me a holster for my 22/45 Lite. Even said it should fit with my TRS-25 installed. We'll see I guess. I'll update with thoughts when I get them.

Update:

Received a notice that electronic shipping information had been received. This was 11 days ago.

Emailed 5 days ago to get an update. Still no response.

Any suggestions?

I carry my G17 around my VT apt in an old Bianchi 4/4L holster. Very comfortable and accessable. It is a comfort to know that any criminal breaking in will be ventilated by a dozen or more WW 115gr JHP+p+ bullets.
