Anybody have an extra NRA sticker?
Hey,
I joined a few weeks back, but I REALLY want to put a sticker on my car. Anyone have an extra?
Hat came today, and boy was it nice wearing it into the public school picking up my kiddo today. If anyone knows Louisville, they know the Highlands are a Liberal bastion, so NRA is like a dirty word around here. Nice to be able to wear the hat proudly, knowing the weenies can't do a thing about it.
But if someone has an extra sticker, that'd be awesome. Save me waiting a few more weeks. I'll pay postage or whatever you want for it (within reason). I'm talking about the one for the back window of your car.
Thanks guys!

Thank you for coming through Ash. It got here today!
Tornadoes and rain yesterday, so hoping for some drier weather so I can slap it on my car! Will post a pic!
Cheers,

Any day now you'll get the renewal letter, along with another pair of stickers.

You reminded me. I haven't had a new NRA stickers in years.
I've been a life member since about the 1960's. That would be a good suggestion, for the NRA to send out stickers every few years to life members.
The TSRA (Texas State Rifle Association) is good for sending stickers.
Louisville Glocker I like your attitude. Get in their faces.
Too many gun owners want to hide that they are NRA members/ gun owners. I take the opposite view. Spread the word.
You would be surprised how many people want to get into guns but don't know where to start.
Give me a few minutes at the bank, store check out counters, even getting a Flu Shot , and I'm talking guns. Many people want to get their concealed carry license but have no idea how to go about it. I have a home range and help new shooters for free.
A lot, I also use my CHL license as identification when asked for a driver's license number (it's on the Texas CHL license).
That sometimes starts gun conversations.

I just got a new set of stickers in and if you need some, I'd be happy to send them your way since I have a few from previous years as well. Just let me know... (EDIT: They are not "life member" stickers, just the regular round ones.)

What the heck are you guys doing up this time of night? (2 AM)
I have a good excuse, I'm hurting from a couple shoulder operations. I found that if I take a pain pill and get on GT for about an hour I can get back to sleep for a few more hours.
Years ago I worked shift work on a couple jobs. I hated the night shift. I'm just not a night person.
Edit,
Thanks a lot for the offer skeeter7. I'll just call the NRA.

Glad you are OK.
Starting in the 1970's my place was tore up several times. Two, maybe three times, by tornadoes.
Scary stuff.

I've had both shoulders worked on also. Torn labrum on one, bankart (?) repair on the other. Nylon eyes/cord hold me together now on both sides. Won't take alot of stress and hurts like the devil sometimes. Hard to get comfortable lying down. Will often wake up with one or both hands numb. Much easier to fall asleep in a chair, but then I have a sore neck all day... Celebrex nearly killed me, nsaids & opioids keep me awake.... etc. etc.

The shoulders are so easy to tear it's a wonder more people don't have trouble.
I tore my left one the first time in 1995.
My left shoulder was operated on Oct 10 and the right Jan 3.
Got about 70% movement in left but little strength.
Almost no movement in the right yet.
Can't do hardly anything, including shooting, for some months yet.
Well, I'm happy because it looked to be worse and I think it will be OK in a few months.
I hope yours turns out as good as possible.
Think I'll try that sleeping thing again.

We had some tornado warnings around here last night on the western side. Southern Illinois always seems to get the worst of it. I live in that part of the state where the Ohio and Mississippi Rivers meet and the weather always changes when it crosses over.
