Yahoo had a big breaking news title on their webpage about this shooting.

Now, nothing.

Not surprising, just the usual media rush to get the first headline out and sell the most air time.

I know we're on the same team regarding gun control, but sometimes mommy and daddy still argue so here goes:

Enforcing laws doesn't stop crimes/problems. Since the dawn of humanity we have never been able to write or enforce a law that would prevent crime.

Every human on this planet knows murder and other violent crime is illegal. Swift, severe punishment/enforcement may reduce the murder rate but it will not "stop" murder. There will always be those whose hearts are so hardened that laws won't affect them.

So, we enforce laws to reduce or discourage crime, not to stop it. If someone wants to commit a crime, especially a premeditated crime, we can't stop it. Laws don't matter. At that point only an armed citizen can stop the criminal, hopefully before too much damage is done.

They are now reporting that the shooters were rival gang members whose argument escalated. SO they were most likely not CHL holders.

Yes, the area around there is called Greenspoint but the locals call it Gunspoint. Once I learned the address of the school I had a good idea that it was just thugs shooting at each other.

I once took a CAD class from this school system and about 60% of the student population are there because they are in a "training" program that makes them eligible for government assistance. This doesn't surprise me the least bit.

Really, because CNN still says 3 wounded, 1 heart attack no deaths.

Minority gang members shoot each other every day. this one is a national headline because the left is leaving no stone unturned to find stories to support the gun control agenda while congress is in session and anything close to a school - even a ghetto school full of adult welfare recipients, is big news. After all, they can still call it a "school shooting" with a straight face.

This will clear it all up. My local news station is saying two thugs shot and injured and one maintenance man injured.

Do I really need to point out that at the time of my original post there were no known facts and I was simply repeating what Fox and the local affiliate was saying?

There is no mention if these were students, or some gang bangers who decided to take out their issues on the campus. Either way, these guys obviously were crappy shots.

The local news in Huntsville AL seem to suggest that. I'm 99% certain that's exactly what it was.

I wondered why I couldn't find ANYTHING on my news feed (phone app) about this..

Funny how when it turns out it wasn't someone trying to massacre people, the media doesn't want anything to do with it.

Shep Smith on Fox was reporting it the same way, even though they had already played witness interviews stating it appeared to be an argument between two men that escalated to shooting. Despite those interviews, he kept spinning it as a school shooting/mass killing.

Surely that doesn't surprise you. As I said, it's a common ghetto gangsta shooting, that is being played up as a "school shooting" as part of the current agenda to boost gun control support. They make it too obvious to be a secret.

No, I'm not surprised by Smith twisting/sensationalizing things (especially guns, as he seems to be anti-gun) or that it was a dispute and possibly a gang related dispute.

Hey, the two guys were in community college trying to turn their lives around, better themselves. Give them a break.

Hey, the one guy was trying to break away from the gang life. He was in college to better himself. He was told he couldn't leave the life. That pissed him off. BANG, BANG, "YES I CAN!"

etc., etc., etc...

Now, you've read it on the internet. Pick the version you support and run with it.
