Glock ID

I earned the 'Early Adopter' patch for being one of the first members of GLOCK ID. Want in? Check out http://id.glock.us/pre-register

Have a nice day.

I watched a video about it, and I'm still not sure. What's the point of the site? As long as GT is functional, is there any need for another online Glock forum?

We should wait and see before we pass judgement.

The way I understand it is a cross between a forum with some elements of "Just Answer". It's run by GLOCK so I would like to think the level of knowledge would be great assuming that have tech support employees frequent the boards. You can also earn points by doing certain things that you will be able to redeem later for products and or discounts, but that's about it.

It's being run by their new marketing company Leader who I imagine will be fired if it doesn't bring the results that they claim it will.

So if the new guy gets fired maybe his replacement will bring back the Armorers discount on guns?

I wonder if anyone questioned him on that subject?

From what I have read and from the video the patches are virtual, just for the site. They are like achievements on console games or badges on a lot of the web and phone games.

When wondering who's advise to consider, check their profile to see if they have posted anything about their training or experience.

I received an email about that as well I actually thought they reached that goal a long time ago (at SHOT Show maybe?). I was surprised that it took as long as it did.

Well, I sent emails to Glock and GSSF about the Armorers pistol purchase program. I got the following response from GSSF, however I have not gotten a call back or an email from "GLOCK, inc.":

"I am sorry you are not eligible for the discounts you were expecting.
GLOCK Professional, Inc. is a separate corporation from GLOCK, Inc. (the handgun manufacturer).
GP only handles training (armorer and live-fire classes) and competition (GSSF) for GLOCK, Inc.
We have no authority or control over the policies set by GLOCK, Inc.
GLOCK, Inc. management decided to end that discount purchase program recently.
If you'd like to discuss this issue, please contact GLOCK, Inc. 770-432-1202.
Again, I'm sorry and wish I could offer some assistance.
Thank you for supporting GLOCK and GSSF.
Alan

The Glock Facebook page says it's a patch. Is it an actual patch, like something that could be sewn on clothing, or something else? As soon as I saw the post, I did the preregistration. When is this really suppose to launch?
