You are not going to see much ammo so long as legislation is still hanging out there.
If the Mail order ammo ban passes you should see the LGS get stock immediately Probably at higher prices since they do not have to compete with net sales.

Buy the gun...you can find ammo if look in the right places. I just picked up 500 rounds of 9mm at a local gunshow. Also walked into a Wall Mart(at the right time) and picked up a couple hundred rounds there as well.
I check local Walmarts on a regular basis. It's a rare occasion for me to drive past one without taking 5 minutes to check for ammo. For instance I was looking for shotgun and rifle ammo the other day and they happened to be stocked up on 9mm. Too bad I sold my G19 2 years ago. I'll continue to shop there as long as the LGS and internet stores keep jacking up their prices/shipping. If you're looking to buy ammo by the pallet then you could be waiting for a very long time from what I've seen of the online stores. They're backordered for months.
Maybe you'd like to pass on this knowledge? I have every supplier I can find tagged, and outside of high prices for SD ammo, there's no FMJ. Occasionally one site may pop up with some rounds available, but in 5 minutes it's long gone.
