Because the Chicago Jesus is preaching mostly to the uninformed, low thought process masses in the cities.

Why blame the guys you are trying to get to support every stupid Socialist program you can push? Blame the other side. It's his MO for over a decade now.

Obama believes the vast majority of people are in favor of his gun control. So he blames the republicans to gin up support for gun control. However the vast majority of the people are too busy buying guns and ammo to pay attention to him.

Every tyrant needs a "Boogie Man".
Check throughout history and you find that each despot has to have some group to blame for everyones problems. This takes attention away from the despot and his efforts to control the population.

It's just politics. Similar to when the repubicans called anyone who disagreed with invading Iraq a coward, traitor, terrorist enabler, and appeaser.
Do you really think he is going to go on 60 Minutes and pressure the democrats on gun control?
They don't want gun control, they want the issue. They'll talk it up real big, so their anti gun base is happy, and they'll blame repubicans and the NRA. They know what will happen if they push it through. But they are going to squeeze every bit of political capital out of it that they can.
No big deal. I don't care who he blames, as long as all they are doing is whining.
I vaguely remember another issue when republicans were blamed for something, although the demoRATS had the majority. The approach was that if a few republicans came over, they could get the bill passed. No mention of demoRATS (hi Walter) in opposition.
It's politics.

If you repeat a lie long enough people will believe it without even thinking. For his supporters, who don't think anyway, that would about twice. If you scream and point at someone often enough and loud enough, people will start to believe what you are saying. His tactic is pure attack, attack, attack. Never let up, never stop long enough for someone to refute you or defend themselves. Logic and reason take time to lay out facts and for people to think about them. He just keeps throwing dirt, never letting anyone think or allowing time for anyone else to talk. There is some lie that will appeal to everyone, just keep making stuff up and throwing it out there and over time you will change how people think.
The main problem is that he has no qualms about abusing his power or lying. Those who oppose him have an ingrained courtesy and respect for the truth that makes it easy for him to manipulate and control the contest. While they are trying to formulate a logical statement, he throws out another lie or accusation, all tailored for the media. Since the media won't contradict anything he says, and belittles and attacks anyone who opposes him it is a one sided contest.

Because the few Democrats that have defected from their party on the gun issue are simply aberrations, not the norm.
The pro-2nd Amendment Republicans are the norm, the anti-gun Rockefeller types are the aberration.
If Democrats owned both the Senate and the House, then they would be able to push through this bill to be signed into law.

I agree. However, I am sure the Messiah can just do a few EO's and wiggle around that old musty thing he keeps tripping over, and I don't mean Michelle.

Bacause people, like obama, with Narcissistic personality disorder believe they are right and everyone that disagrees with them is wrong.

It's a political move for next election. He will demonize the Republican party for the next four years and blame them for all of his failures. That way people will vote for whatever Democratic Troll his party pushes.

I think some people here just want to believe that Republicans are the same as Democrats. They want to feel good about having abstained from voting. They want to feel good about pimping various obscure third party candidates to conservative voters so that Democrats could win two elections.

Obama tactics:
"If you don't have any fresh ideas, then you use stale tactics to scare the voters, if you don't have a record to run on, then you paint your opponent as someone people should run from."

Because his goal is to kill all opposition so he can get his way instead of doing what is best for the country

I agree but we have our fair share of low thought process masses (aka: Democrats and welfare recipients and achromatic dross) in the rural areas as well.

I hate both parties with a passion but I realize every vote cast for any third party candidate is a vote for the Democraps.
I'm still glad I voted for Romney even though I hate his guts.
