The Assault Handguard Ban of 2013

I caught this on CSPAN yesterday. Feinstein is defining the front handguard of a rifle as an evil feature that when coupled with a detachable magazine makes the semi-automatic firearm an "assault weapon" under the proposed AWB of 2013. When I read the bill and the clause dealing with "barrel shrouds", I took it at face value. I thought she was talking about an actual barrel shroud. It appears that's not the case.

Look at her voting base......and sadly, it seems that that kind of mentality is spreading throughout the USA... Afraid that this will be close call when it makes it to a vote in the House.

I'm not sure if she is actually that stupid, or perhaps shrewd enough to take advantage of the ignorance of so many people regarding guns. It seems to me that she very often defines things in ways that give her goals an advantage, but are only noticed by people who are paying close attention and have knowledge of the subject. Sneaky? Underhanded? Devious? But maybe not as stupid as we would like to think.

In spite of that, I think all her garbage is DOA in both chambers of Congress. Far too many in Congress do recognize Slimestain is out to lunch and won't vote for her garbage.
We'll get some gun show background checks and maybe a few other tweaks. Don

The American voter abhors study of issues and votes based on the last bumper sticker seen.
Feinstein is very good at simplifying issues. Can't fault her for knowing how to get reelected.
