I ran 20 rounds of Rem 55gr FMJ (.223) through my SAR3 today while checking my trigger job on another rifle.
I used my 5 rounder since I was shooting off a bench, and the range mandates single shot.
Dooshbaggery was thick at the range today; first, I had some clown staple his target over mine during the cease-fire. Then, another fool shoots my target before the cease-fire instead of waiting to put up his own.
Just because someone frees up a bench for you so you can get set up, doesn't mean you get to hose their target.
Anyhoo, fair results at 50yrds;
My target picked up five extra .22lr holes from the guy after me. I marked them "dumbass."
Dumbass aside, my result are ho-hum with this ammo. Just under 2" to 2.5" five shot groups @50yrds translating to 3-5" at 100yrds.
This gun seems to like the middleweights in the 62gr range vs the heavier stuff, or these 55gr loads. It loves the 62gr Green Tips and shoots them about this well at 100yrds.
