Holster for those quick trips to town?
Ok guys, what holster do you all use for the quick trips to town or the gym when your in sweat pants or gym shorts. I just want something easy to throw iwb and go. Maybe something similar to what comes with the XDs.

The MTAC runs my show, but I'm thinking about the new Infedel Ultra, from Comp-Tac. First, I gotta try a Remora.

Yep, Remora. I know the concept sounds odd but I have to tell you, I carry a Heavy Sig P229R and I am loving my Remora more every day. 4 O'clock with a cant to it...so comfortable.

G19 in a Remora when I'm wearing tie-up type pants, mostly around the house.

Remora. I carry a G27 using a #6 holster in the back pocket with shirt out. No printing, comfortable because it's padded, big enough that it takes up the whole rear pocket and easy to get to. You can sit and don't even know it's there. If you want to, you can do a tuck with it as well.

I've got a crossbreed iwb on order. So I'll have that for edc. I always wear gym shorts around the house and to run errands, just want one to throw the gun in and go. Thanks for the suggestions so far.

One thing to keep in mind is that your destination or distance traveled is irrelevant when deciding what/how to arm yourself for protection. You can be jumped on a quick trip to the corner market just as easily as you can on a day long trip to the beach or the woods etc.
You should be prepared to defend yourself in the event of a SHTF situation EVERY time you leave home. Things to focus on:
. Concealability
. Comfort
. Confidence
It is a good idea to have a variety of adequate CCW guns and methods of carry to accommodate different, weathers, social situations, Requirements for dress, etc. It takes most of us a while to get this all sorted out and at the end it is not uncommon to have a dresser drawer full of holsters. You can ask for advice but you won't know how a particular gun or holster works for you until you have lived with it for a while.
Good luck.

Uncle Mikes pocket holster stufed in the waistband crossdraw. Its surprisingly stable. But I don't wear it into the gym or anything. I don't need to worry about a gun on me while working out.

Desantis insider is what I picked up for this, it's a simple holster with one large metal clip. Works with my better gym shorts, retention at first pulled up my shorts bad, but I used a dress sock over the gun and put it in the holster for a week and loosened it up so my shorts don't pull up to bad.
The gun also sits pretty deep in the holster.

Unless you are carrying a small gun in your pocket. You can't get much quicker than a paddle holster. Galco makes a pretty nice one on the cheap under their lite or light line. They are leather and fairly decent quality but they are thin and floppy. Price about 25-30 bucks
They are suitable for a quick jaunt but not real CCW carry.

Just about impossible to mention "quick trips" (or quick whatever) in the same sentence without mentioning REMORA!
Grab it, stick it IWB and go. Come back, take it out and put gun away (if desired). Can't be beat.

Do the Remoras "collapse" when the gun is withdrawn, or does it have some structural rigidity that keeps that from happening and allows the gun, when the holster is empty and being compressed between the pants and body, to be reholstered? I love the idea of it and it obviously has a lot of fans here.... Thanks!
