Greetings From Ohio!

I've been thinking about purchasing a handgun for several years, but I only recently got serious about it. I found this site during my research, and I really appreciate what I've seen while clicking around so far.

Great question--nothing yet! I started Thanksgiving day thinking it was a toss-up between the G17 and G19, and I planned to shoot both and go with whichever one "feels" right. After talking to my girlfriend's sister (a CO with lots of handgun experience), she made me reconsider the G22 and G23. I limited myself to the 9x19 mostly for the inexpensive ammo, but .40 isn't THAT much more expensive, and it would be worth it for a more satisfying experience. So now I plan on trying the G22 and G23 for the "feel" test. I'll definitely keep you posted!

I'm a 9mm man. Pretty sure you'll find cheaper ammo, and have lighter recoil with 9. But I understand the .40 appeal.

Thanks! No relation, but I've been asked that and if I'm a big Aerosmith fan, haha. My undergrad is actually in Aerospace Engineering, although I've been a Project Manager for the past 6 years.

Purchase update: After several months of searching & researching, I finally picked up a new Gen 3 G19 last weekend. I can't wait to put some rounds through it!

Hello Aero!

I'm in central OH and a long time Glock fan.

Last year there was a meet and greet in northeast OH.

A 1.5 hour drive, but was worth it.

I had a good time, met some great people.

A member here is planning an event this spring.

If it is convenient, you might attend.

I'm pretty sure I will be there, I have tickets to Rock on the Range for that day so I am still trying to set my schedule.
