U.S. Rep. Phil Gingrey (R-Marietta)

Article in Marietta Daily Journal: http://mdjonline.com/view/full_story...ome_lead_story

He is open to Federal background checks for private sales, and a high capacity magazine ban.

Yep. I was surprised to hear that he would consider a ban. Both him and Isakson are revealing their true stripes.

Here is what I wrote him:

"I was alarmed to see your comments in the Marietta Daily Journal! http://mdjonline.com/view/full_story...ome_lead_story

We have put our trust in you as our representative, and I, frankly, feel betrayed. Private, interstate sales are not the business of the Federal Govt., and your comments about larger capacity magazines sounded like Vice President Biden! Please ask your friend, Jay Wallace, to explain high capacity magazines to you. Liberty is liberty, and the Second Amendment is sacrosanct!

I have voted for you in every election, but I will never support a politician who will not protect the Second Amendment the way it was written. As of right now, I seriously doubt I will support you again."

It appears that Mr. Gingrey has removed his facebook page - all that remains is the wiki page. And he has deleted his twitter account.
