yea ,, all these people saying they are in stock,,,,,, really tick me off
Dec. 27th S&W said they had them in stock, I ordered and paid for 20 pmags. They took my CC.
I checked back 3 days latter, their site said they were sold out. I called them this week, guy said, O these have been sold out and on back order since November!!!
I was like your website took my order, emailed me my order with order number when they said they were avaliable on 12-27. He said he dosnt know anything about that.
I said cancel my order NOW,, he came back and said ok its done,, I said email me a cancel cc to my email,, he said O I cant do that,,, you are out of the system.
Just tell them Jim #27 said thats its cancelled.
I said, last time I do any business with S&W!!!!!

UPDATE: I called them. They are manufacturing magazines as fast as they can... but are currently 3-4 weeks backordered just on sheer volume of orders. I will report back as things develop.

They told me 2-3 weeks and that ALL were in 'manufacturing' and they had added a second shift. ARs were on the 3 wk cycle. I did not order but have them bookmarked - new to me.
I don't 'need' mags but...

Me either, but what the heck. It's not $50 per magazine.

They are back ordered? Big deal. No one's gonna die waiting a few weeks, unless you happen to be that poor sap who has one AR15 with zero mag, and the BG is kicking down your door.
They are great prices, considering the present climate. Quit whining, and order some and wait.

Are the mags any good?
I've never even heard of ASC.
I must really be out of the loop since they are "The premier" magazine manufacturers in the industry...

From what I recall, ASC is merely C-products with a different name.

I'm good with that. I have several C-Products mags and find them to be of good quality.

So for all you guys who don't understand basic economics, here's the alternate option to "gouging" and "profiteering" in action.
When Demand exceeds Supply, there are two options in the short run: let prices rise until demand is brought back into line with supply, OR hold prices below equilibrium, and have a shortage. At some point the higher prices will also incentivize increased supply, but that can't happen overnight.
The Soviets had all kinds of cheap prices on products you couldn't buy...

Of course he did. Either get gouged and get it quick or pay a reasonable price and wait. The latter is related to these mags.

I just got notice of a shipping label from Wideners. I ordered some D&H 10 round AR mags. I wanted some lower profile for bench shooting & hopefully another prairie dogging trip to SD. They have them listed as sold out the past week or 2, at least I have a few in the pipeline.

FWIW, ASC merely won C-Products manufacturing machinery in a settlement for a contract issue and C-products went out of business. I have no idea how much ASC's "engineers" efforts went into R&D for their magazine production, but the only thing different from ASC's magazines and C-Products was the floorplate stamping. I ordered ASC's first run of 7.62x39mm magazines and they were identical to C-Products "old stock" I received two weeks before except the finish was matte instead of gloss.
ETA: They did open a new business under LCJ Wholesales. They in fact DO produce magazines again under CProducts Defense.
