Magazine interchangebility
How compatible are the different mags and do they work in all AK47's.
Any to covet, or avoid? Thanks
Doc

I've always had hit or miss results with polymer magazines. Steel ones have always been flawless for me, regardless of where they came from.

What about Tapco? Someone on GunBroker.com is selling 10 Tapco bundles for $200?

I think they make most, if not all of the polymer mags.
Other people may have better luck with them, Most of the ones I've used have been fine but I've had 2 or 3 that didn't feed properly over the years.

Any spring issues with long term loads? I plan on loading them and storing them.

I have found that my mags ( all steel surplus) do not swap from rifle to rifle very well. I finally just marked what mags fit in what rifle.

Odd, I've never had an issue like that.
Keeping them loaded shouldn't be a problem. Keeping the spring in one position doesn't wear out the spring its compression/decompression cycles.

Just got some Chinese mags I ordered in December today. I did have to file off a bit of the rear post that the catch holds to make them fit but they feed great. I expect them to work fine when I get them to the range.
