I do understand. I am not tring to change anyone's choice. After personally going thru the process I can say that giving some thought to what happens after the shot is very good advice.

In my opinion the 10MM makes an awesome concealed carry/ outdoor protection cartridge. I mostly carry Winchester Silvertips . I have carried Hornady 200 grain JHP as loaded by Double Tap when I feel the need for more penetration.

Vandros,
I have carried the 10mm Glock 20 (almost everyday) for many, many years.

Over Penetration with quality JHP's is a Myth !!

I carry either 175 gr. Winchester Silvertips or my own 165 gr. Gold Dots loaded with 10.2 gr. of IMR 800-X.
Oh, ya, I am still waiting for Colt to start selling these Delta Elite Rail Guns...

I personally stick to the 38 special 120gr +p. it makes sense to a defense attorney and a prosecuting attorney. If you are going to carry you should thank about both sides of defense.

Your an Idiot. Oh, sorry, I forgot to add... In my opinion, your an idiot.
Look, I understand that you think you are trying to help, but frankly you are an example of what is wrong with gun owners today. Stand up for yourself. Your Glock 20 was designed with a Standard Capacity magazine that holds 15 rounds of 10mm ammunition. Why are you using a Reduced Capacity magazine?
"If 10+1 rounds won't do it, then 16+1 won't help...."
Are you a moron? Can you think for yourself? Maybe you are a Liberal Anti-gun TROLL ? No? Ok, then, quit regurgitating liberal talking points.
Saying that, is like some one saying; "My revolver holds six rounds, but I only load two, because if I can't get it done in two rounds then loading all six rounds isn't going to help. Besides it looks more humane to the liberal socialists who are trying to disarm America".
In a gun fight, more bullets (in your gun) is a good thing.

Maybe so, but some things just have to be said. To be honest I didn't even notice the age of the last post.

200 grain hard cast for street and woods. not much difference between a 150 lbs. whitetail and 200+lbs. perp. always watch your back stop.

10mm over penetration
When I asked Mas Ayood about my concerns of over penetration of Underwood ammo, he suggested that IF I WAS CONCERNED about it their 135gr Gold Dots would serve very well.

I would disagree. Check out "TN Outdoors 9" on YouTube. He has done a great job of testing a wide variety of cartridges over a broad spectrum of calibers.
His testing has shown that in some cases by increasing velocity it actually decreases penetration...
His testing showed only 16 inches of penetration with Underwood's 200 gr. XTP JHP @ 1260 FPS / 705 Ft Lbs of Energy. This is ideal for self defense against 200+ Lbs bad guys.
I would also like to point out that the Speer .40 S&W 180 gr. Gold Dot traveling at 1000 FPS / 400 Ft Lbs of Energy penetrates to just over 13 inches, while the Underwood 10mm 180 gr. Gold Dot traveling at just over 1330 FPS / 706 Ft Lbs of Energy penetrates to just over 17 inches. That is not over penetration in anybody's book, not to mention almost doubling the energy with only slightly more penetration.

I elected to go with Underwood 165grn Gold Dots and am happy with accuracy, recoil and function.

I'd feel confident with just about any 10mm loading.
