Well.... I guess I am a chauvinistic pig then. I don't cotton to political correctness and don't use hyphen American terminology dictated by the PC movement, so this may be the issue. I was raised a lot different and using PC speak only seems to create an even more hostile environment in that is infringes on ones ability to speak honestly.

I had a couple of male nurses when I was in hospital. Dang they were good. Very professional and when your entire left side is crushed. (toes,knee, femur, ribs, shoulder, humerous, radius, teeth.....) its VERY comforting to have a 6'3" 260 lb guy holding you when you attempt to stand (on one foot) for first time in two months. Some issues you have with massive meds, injury you can talk to another guy easier then a female.

I realized I had not had a "woody" in weeks. Now some might suggest a female nurse would stroke me to be sure......RIGHT. The male nurse went over why meds likely were reason, brought it up to Dr. (there were good/bad times when I could communicate/zombie) Dr. ordered tests to make sure nothing was damaged, reduced meds, told me to let him know if things started working. Very little embarassment.
