I think pro-2A people should totally ignore PM. It's not going to happen but if it did, it would totally destroy the tactic they use to get viewers by having people with opposing opinions battle it out. Even people here loved the shouting match. You think people watch to hear PM's brilliant intellect at work? No, they watch for the drama.

Alex Jones benefits gun owners the same way a suicide bomber blowing up an elementary school benefits Muslims.
While he may energize the nutbags into a frenzy, the majority of the people he claims to support don't need the additional enemies he creates.

It's funny how there are all these internet commandos that talk about having guns taken from their cold dead hands. How they are going to fight the government and gun confiscation is their line in the sand. And then when Alex says the same thing, they freak out.

I don't have a problem with that or with those comments, but he can keep all of his other conspiracy lunacy out of the conversation. We don't need our cause being in any way associated with some moron that thinks 9-11 was an inside job.

if there isn't a better voive of sanity than lapierre or aj to represent us to the masses that actually watch this non-sensical moron morgan, than i think it's safe to assume we're screwed.
blowing your stack...never really helpful...throw in revolutional rhetoric, and 9/11 conspiracies, and it's a recipe for...i don't even know what.
at this point, we can use help in the public eye.

I agree. As others have mentioned, we're screwed if this is the only public representation we have.
That interview with Jones is going to go viral. It doesn't matter how many "followers" Morgan has.

Anyone who thinks Alex Jones was helpful in his appearance last night should log out of their youtube account, close their browser, then re-open their browser and go back to youtube. There it is, "Piers Morgan "debates" Alex Jones on gun control hilarity ensues" --- if youtube doesn't know who you are then this is the #1 video they want you to watch right now. They don't care if Piers Morgan comes off looking bad too, that's his job. They just want you to equate the red-faced madman with all gun owners. That's why he was invited on the show, and he didn't disappoint. He'll get a few more listeners short-term out of this farce, but it was definitely not helpful in resisting the current gun control push.

Ill tell you a secret that you may not know. Even if you are 100% right...everyone thinks its crazy and everyone who talks about such things are automatically dismissed by people in general.
So what we have here, is Alex doing pretty well in the first half...then discredits himself and the cause in the second half when he talked about 9/11 and such.
You ever see that episode of Happy Days where Richie Cunningham meets Mork from Ork...an alien?
Did anyone believe him when he told them? Did people not think he was crazy? If he had a serious thing to debate, do you think he would be taken seriously after raving about aliens?
Same thing.
I can tell you, that an unbiased person who doesnt know Alex Jones will automatically write him off after what he said, when they otherwise might have agreed with him.
If people tie us to his/your beliefs, it wont be good for the cause at all.
