Who's going to Tucson for the gun buyback?

There's a gun buyback (yea, I know, they didn't buy it in the first place) at the police station on 22nd & Alvernon Tues., 8 Jan, 2013, starts at 9am

http://azstarnet.com/news/local/govt...d93fc1ff0.html

I'm going to try to get that day off to go, and driving from Phoenix.

Have a great gun carryin' Kenpo day

I wish they would do that in Atlanta. I'd love to pick up a bunch of guns for next to nothing before people get to the front of the turn in line

Heck even if you don't buy guns you can buy mags. Lets be honest who goes to these? Idiots who fall for media line. They will be "scared" to sell guns in parking lot. So buy ammo, mags, BCG on ARs if possible.

There's a huge dichotomy for me. On one hand, I want there to be hundreds of people showing up to get my chance at a nice gun or two, or three, or more, on the cheap. The other is, I hope it's a bust for the jackass that got this thing going.

There's going to be one of our state senators going as well, former Marine. Ought to be a hoot just for the "will buy your guns for $$" crowd

"All of the gun-rights groups should absolutely embrace this idea. The NRA, Gun Owners of America and the others all say that only people who are trained and comfortable with weapons should own and use them," Kozachik said. "This program is intended to give people who don't fit that description a way to properly dispose of their weapons."

I do embrace this. What better opportunity for law abiding citizens to aquire guns cheaply?

$50, really? I hope you go and clean up.

For 50.00??? Really??? I wouldn't even give one mosin for that... Everyone in the area should be lined up with a Benjamin and a ffl fee for those people willing to take 50.00 for their firearm.

What is this "ffl fee" you speak of? It's cash and carry here, literally carry, as in Constitutional carry, no permits required

I've got an AZ CCW, and I really don't think that a felon will show up to buy a gun in front of a police station .

What kind of moron would trade in a gun for a $50 giftcard?

That's retarded. I'd pawn them, or sell them locally.

Well I would guess some Ex wifes (or soon to be) getting those evil guns out of house. Criminals (great way to get rid of stolen guns) Least they used to claim the guns would NOT be compared to stolen gun list, crimes, etc and NO questions.
