Circa 2002 glock 36 recall question

I just acquired a glock 36 that had been sitting in it's box in a pawn shop for the past ten yrs. This barely used 36 functions perfectly so far. Out of curiosity I checked the serial and it appears this EUM serial glock was included in a recall due to a frame issue according to Glock.

They offered to fix gun but would swap out frame for new. I would prefer to keep the gun with matching numbers if possible.

Does anyone remember what the problem was specifically?

I believe the rear frame rails were bent at too sharp of an angle (90) instead of being radiused. The horizontal part of some rails would crack and break off. My G21 with an EVA serial number is just outside of the recall.
