.40s&w in 9mm mags?

Ok. I hate to ask this, but my google foo is only turning up 9mm in .40 mags.

Here is the situation. I recently got a gen 4 17 and love it. I also have a g19, and a M&P 9. I have decided to trade the M&P off and found a guy willing to trade a gen 4 g22.

I also found a guy who wants to trade my extra M&P mags for g17 mags.

The g22 only has two mags, and of course mags are pretty much impossible to purchase.

So for range purposes how well will .40 feed from a 9mm mag? I have accidentally put a .40 into a g19 mag... Just don't know if it feeds well at all.

Their are some differences between Glock 9 mm and 40 S&W magazines.
The spacing between the feed lips being the main one, that and the follower design is different.

One might try it as they come, one may also try to file open the feed lips,or maybe not.

9mm [.325-.335
357 Sig[.360-.370
40 S&W[.360-.370
10 mm[.360-.370
45 [.425-.435

While it may work it may be less then ideal. SJ 40

Not sure how this helps but I have just the opposite. I have an extra G22 magazine but I have two Glock 9ís a G26 and G19. I have used my G22 magazine for the range only and it has worked 100% in both the G19 and G26. So far.

9mm mags will feed .40 ammo very poorly. I discovered this when I had my G27 upper on my G26 lower. I forgot to bring my 40 mags to the range. Tried the 9mm mags, but went home after firing 3 or 4 rounds - feeds very poorly.
