Legal CCW saves victims life

An armed robber shoots a victim in the leg. Victim returns fire with a legally carried firearm killing the robber and possibly saving countless lives by a criminal already shooting one person. Justice served!!

Not possible. More guns = more people dying. You're better off just to let them shoot you to death and let the police handle it. /sarcasm

That's impossible. CNN says guns CAUSE crime. Not PREVENT crime.

We'll put that one under the "gun related deaths" column.

Except if it was a gun free zone the robber wouldn't have had a gun in the first place...

What is your basis for this claim? That the police hadn't charge him yet, since he was airlifted to a trauma center? I can't find anything saying whether the victim had a CCW permit or not.

Don't misunderstand. I'm glad the victim took out the bad guy. But, don't jump to conclude he was legally carrying until the facts of the investigation come out. This one's not ready to go into the win column for CCW yet.

I'm a LEO not too far from this area and have enough sources to confirm what was said.

An "armed citizen" is sitting in jail without bail at the moment.
