Engraving font? Long shot, I'm sure.

It's a long-shot, I know, but I was hoping someone might know what the font used to engrave Noveske lowers happens to be.

I can be a little anal-retentive at times and that is never more true than when I'm forking over a bunch of money for something.

So I'm building an SBR AR, and I need to get it engraved, but seeing as though it already has been engraved with a bunch of text, I really want it to be in the same font.

I contacted identmarking.com and they said they can do just about any true type font. Then I contacted Noveske (the maker of my lower) in regards to what font they use, and they apologetically answered with "Sorry I have no idea."

I've spent some time looking through various fonts on the internet and have come up with "ChevinLight" as the closest to it, but it's not quite right. The "A" has slightly curved legs, the "O" is more square, and the "kickstand" on the "R" is shorter

I would intentionally choose a different font. Perhaps a basic military style font that looks like a GI stamp/engraving put on the rifle after procurement and issuing to a rifle company.

Think about it.... Unless you can match the original engraving depth and then plan to have the receiver re-anodized it is going to stand out.

Might as well embrace that fact and make the engraving serve a different purpose instead of appearing OEM.

Looks like a Sans-Serif font.

I had mine engraved with Gothic Sans. It's close.

The W is what is throwing me off, but nothing I engraved had a W so the K was right. The O is one to look at in your font as well as the R....

This one is pretty close:

Thanks for that, but the "G" is way off and unfortunately, there's a "G" in my trust name.

I even opened a "case" on their forums looking for help: http://www.myfonts.com/WhatTheFont/forum/case/547157/

'Arial' and 'Franklin Gothic Book'

Best of luck to you.
