Daniel Defense over M&PT?
have an opportunity to get the DD M4 V7 instead of the S&W M&PT for another $160.
Have no experience with DD, know they are an "upper tier" manuf.
Thoughts?

$999.95 for the M&PT and $1161 for the DD V7. Seems like a no brainer.....

went and paid for it this AM, very nice rifle. no sights, so I guess I will put some Magpuls on it.....
the forend is a little strange with the slick sides and 3 little moveable piccatinnys.....
now to decide on a red dot

Get the DD, but I have owned the M&P and they make a damn good AR. You won't go wrong with either one, but DD makes a better gun IMO. But not by much.

got the DD (and a Saiga 12....)
the "modular free float" handguard is different, but cool. The DD is a VERY well put together AR.
Bought a bunch of mags and tactical crap for the Saiga too......

Best deal going on a quality red dot is the Aimpoint PRO. Catch them on sale, and they can be had for as low as ~$370.

looks like you are right, I was trying to decide between the PRO and the Eotech 512, did some googling and PRO it is.
We will see Monday what my LGS can get one for.

I have three friends that really want AR's they will get first dibs on any my dealer gets at the dealer's price.
after I make that happen, I will consider buying as many as I can to turn.
Considering selling one of my AK's (milled MAK90) due to the stupidity I am seeing online.
If my dealer had a decent AK (Arsenal or such) I'd ditch that MAK for $1800 to some impatient retard.
