Winter Jacket

Hey Everyone,

I'm planning a camping trip next month. I wanted to go test my gear and abilities in the cold and snow filled mountains. I figured this would be a good test of my abilities, such as to light a fire without matches when the ground is snow covered, etc. Anyhow, I'm wanting to upgrade my cold weather gear specifically my jacket. I tried to do an internet search and was blown away with all the options. I wanted to see what jackets you all had/liked, so I could maybe narrow down the selection. I want something that is good for around zero degrees farenheit, I want it to be waterproof so I dont have to have a pancho in the rain/snow, it can have a liner such as the 3 in 1 type jackets but if not thats ok because I do have some layers, and i'm looking int the 250 or less price range which should open up the options. Thanks in advance.

I'd definitely go with a Gore-Tex shell, and layer underneath with polar fleece or maybe even down. A good polypropylene or other synthetic wicking material as an under layer. Check out Cabela's.
