carry questions
Hey guys, I'm thinking about carrying all the time. I have some questions before i do. Here are my concerns.
-I work in a secure facility that does not allow fire arms nor do they check them. The exterior is monitored but im a little nervous leaving my glock in my truck.
- i also work out several times a week, again i dont want to leave my glock in my truck nor do i want some a-hole waiting for me to lock my gun in my locker for my workout.
How do you guys deal with these situations?

Lock your gun in a secure device when it is not in your immediate possession.

I bought a nice laptop/gun safe for my truck. It is bolted under the back seat drivers side. It does stick out beyond the seat about 4 inches. It is a very sturdy safe. It will take whomever a long time to get it out. Turn your alarm on and don't worry about it. I paid about $150 for it.
Yes, put it in a safe.
This is what I have. It is on sell.

Knowing how to responsibly store or secure your firearm is taught in about every basic pistol class I know of. How is it that you carry a firearm and don't know the basics of storing it safely.

Just to "CYA". you need to know your employer's position and rules for employment in regards to your carrying a firearm while you're on their time and even having one in their company employee parking lot.
Some employers do not allow their employees to be armed while on duty, or even when they're driving their own vehicles. While doing so may be prefectly legal under your concealed weapons license, it may be reason for discharge by your employer.
If not.....carry on!

It was not meant to be an attack. It was meant to point out that along with the "Rights" everyone has to keep and bear arms under the 2A, comes an equal amount of resposibility to be properly trained and educated before you own and carry a firearm. No one has a problem with everyone voicing their opinion about what rights they have, I don't think someone pointing out the responsibilities once in a while is wrong, and should be taken in the spirit in which it was given. I did not mean to offend anyone, If I did, I apologize.

As rohan notes-
Never leave your weapon in an unattended vehicle unless it is in a lockbox, vault, or secured with some other sort of supplemental locking device, such as a coated cable. Under the seat, in a console, or in the glovebox, locking or not, is just silly.
