CTR vs. ACS-L vs. ACS
I already have the CTR on my 5.56, but want another stock for my .300 blk build. I'm trying to decide between the three in the subject line; I like the CTR a lot, just thinking about getting something that I don't already have. Thanks.

I'm not big on doing something for the sake of being different (at least when it comes to my guns). If you like the CTR, get another. If you feel the need for some storage, get the ACS-L. The ACS is a beast of a stock, and the only things I ever carried in the stock was 1-2 batteries, which the ACS-L will cover.

I have an ACS and a few CTR's. Love them both. The storage compartments of the ACS are awesome.

I have an ACS on my SBR, and an STR on my 16" middy. I like the lighter weight of the STR on the middy, while keeping the enhanced cheek weld.

You have any issues using muffs with the STR or ACS?

CTR 0.55 lbs
STR 0.77 lbs
ACS-L 0.78 lbs
ACS 0.88lbs
The CTR with the enhanced buttpad to me is pretty great. Hated the UBR and wasn't sold on the ACS (but storage and cheek weld is nice). I ordered an ACS-L to try on my new build.

Not really. It can be an issue with some of the larger style muffs, but not with the Howard Leight electronic muffs I usually use.

I've got 2 ACS's and 1 CTR. I prefer the ACS mainly just for the cheek weld, It's a toss up. But the ACS works better for me.

I'm not a fan of the storage tubes on the SOPMOD. You have to completely remove the stock to access them. On the Magpul STR and ACS, they can be accessed with the stock mounted and in any position.

I decided to get another CTR; but went in FG instead of black to be different. Thanks for the help; I decided that storage is what my backpack is for and saved myself $20
