Guns used by Adam Lanza

So the media was a complete unmitigated disaster at reporting accurate information for the first day, weekend, and week. Much of the initial reporting was revised or clarified.

With that, do we actually know which firearms were used in a criminal manner on that day? I'd appreciate reputable sources only please.

Doesn't matter. He could have taken an old Winchester '73 and a pocket full of extra shells and done just as much damage.

You're right! But its important to get key information out there to manufacture some rage against inanimate objects.

I still think it was the Glock and Sig as first reported.

I'm skeptical as well. First reported that the rifle was left in the car. Gotta wonder how a specific detail like that could be so wrong.

Especially when it showed on the news, what appeared to be an AR-15 being pulled out of a trunk of what I assume was the car he came in.

There's also the purported "Medical Examiner" who claimed that "as I understand" all the wounds were rifle rounds. There was also the claim of "four" guns used, but we only ever heard the of the Sig, Glock, and Bushmaster.

A lot of misinformation, and in the heat of the moment, no one really thinks otherwise.

It's "The Media", don't try to confuse the issue with facts.

Well, the problem started at home. Mom knew he was a psycho turd, but left him alone for two days, unattended with nonsecured firearms. She isn't alive to ask, so I guess we can't ask her what the hell she was thinking?

If my son was a freak like that, I wouldn't have left him alone, unattended with access for firearms. They would all be in the safe.

When you have someone in your home that you know is unstable, it is irresponisble of you to leave them access to your firearms.

My understanding is that he's a minister of a nearby church that was out woodcutting. Just hearsay mind you.

Anyone with any firearms knowledge could easily see the weapon removed from the car was not an AR15. It had an AK variant receiver and was later reported to be a Saiga 12ga.

The guy found in the woods was a pastor at the neighboring church who was cutting firewood.

He should have been in a safe stable environment where he was medicated and his behavior monitored.
A place like a long term home for the mentally ill. Those emotional and mentally ill that cannot be watched by their aging parents. Not living under a bridge or locked in a prison.
There used to be places like that but the ACLU in all their wisdom thought putting the mentally ill in the mainstream of population was a good idea. The libs want to address an issue, that is it. Some people need to be put away for the safety of themselves and society.

This.

The rifle pulled from the trunk was clearly NOT an AR type weapon. They pulled the charging handle on the right side of the gun to clear it.

It's called a major operation by Obama to disarm this country by deception then attack us from within just like Hitler all over again!

Yeah, that didn't look like an AR15 to me just based on the guy racking the charging handle to clear it.

It could have been a M1A1 Abrams and they would have still said it was a Glock.

Deception worked great for the Iraq invasion.
Deception worked again to get the PATRIOT act passed.

Deception seems to be an important part of our government.

He used an AR15 to shoot everyone in the school. He had a Glock 10mm he used to kill himself. He also had a Sig pistol of some type on him. He had a shotgun in the car that was not used.
