Surviving "Urban Beach Week" - Miami, FL
Well, it's time for our annual suspension of civilization here in South Florida. "Urban Beach Week" occurs every Memorial Day Weekend in Miami and the surrounding beaches. Most residents board up their homes like a hurricane is approaching, and flee north until the mayhem and destruction are over.
For those of you who are unfamiliar with Urban Beach Week, visualize Somalia, but with food and electricity thrown in.
Shootings, robberies, rapes, etc. I wouldn't be surprised if you took UBW crimes out of the statistics, Florida would be one of the safest places in the US.
As for me, I work here so fleeing is not an option. I will be carrying my G20 at all times loaded with 200gr XTPs from Underwood, and my AK underfolder will be close at hand in my truck at all times.

For several years i had the pleasure of interacting with the urban beach week folks as they flew out of south Florida. For the last couple of years I have made sure to be on vacation that week.
In that one week I used to have as many problems as the rest of the year combined.
Btw... I think you might be exadurating a bit by comparing it to Somolia. Somolia isn't so bad since the war cooled down some.
In addition to the rapes robbery murders and general mayhem, don't forget the drownings. Urban youth doesn't swim well.

I have recently started to be ready for "urban youth week " as a everyday thing.I am expecting more of this in our future.My G19 is with all the time now with a spare mag,and 4 mags in carriers in the glove box with a 50rd ox of ammo.At home I ready bags for the AR-15's along with my vest ready to go.Your best bet is to hunker down and let them knock themselves out while you are ready for the worst.

Well, aren't you just a fine egalitarian. I believe it's not the black part of the people he doesn't like, but the thug lifestyle combined with hood action and hard to understand speech with little regard for others. That's what I believe he doesn't like.

Did you see the picture? %90 black. Did you read the link I posted earlier. There will be a small amount of Asians, Whites, and Hispanics but they won't be causing the majority of the problems.
My friends and I went on senior trip to Myrtle Beach and we didn't cause any problems. I'm not sure why it's so difficult for others to do the same.
