It's a crime in my state, and in most others as well.

2 quick areas in my state laws-

Under littering, there is a subdivision on " throwing/depositing injurious/harmful object in roadway/at a motor vehicle.

There is also- Criminal Damage To Property,
and of course Disorderly Conduct can apply as will.

besides this, when enough people start getting upset over "speeding" or "stop sign runners"....well, that is when we go there and start paying attention to that little area (that means writing tickets)

...it never fails that one of the people who wanted us there (or a spouse, child, sibling....) gets caught up in it.

This is a pretty funny thread.

Back a while ago me and my girlfriend were driving up in the mountains (no cell reception) and we pulled into a little scenic pull off with a couple of picnic tables along a mountain stream. The area was gravel off of the asphalt road, so I was going extremely slowly as my car is very low and I didn't want to throw rocks and chip my paint.

There was this guy at one of the tables that had two kids playing about 30 yards away, in the river. He comes over to me screaming (roof is off my car) about how I was going too fast and endangering his kids. There was a row of huge boulders separating the edge of the pull-off from the bank that there is no way my car could have even gone over. I tell him his kids aren't even close and that I wasn't even doing 5 mph. This really made him ecstatic, and my girlfriend started getting nervous so without saying anything more to him we just pulled out.

This idiot left his kids playing in the river (probably about 7 and 10 years old) and began chasing me down in his huge chrome wheeled H2 Hummer. It was a very twisty road, and the fun really began when I started to go faster and faster to see how long he could keep up with me. When we got to about 55 mph he finally almost hit into a hillside (river was on the other side of the road) and spun out on the gravel. It was actually kind of fun in a sadistic sort of way; watching him think that he could somehow keep up with my vette on a twisty mountain road in an H2 Hummer.

Here is a pic of the river and road. The place where we pulled off didn't have the large drop towards the river, and it was further away blocked from the pull-off by large rocks.

This is a post I made in another forum. Equation still holds true, IMHO:

Last week I was in traffic and out of the corner of my eye I heard some long honking followed by a stream of invectives directed at some hapless soul. I observed that the initiator of all this trash talk was probably in his late sixties. The culprit appeared to be less than half his age. I thought to myself, "It's been a long time since that guy had his butt kicked." Which made me come up with this silly equation:

TT= BK (+T-M +or- V)

"Trash Talking is directly proportional to the amount of time and distance, less Memory, from one's last Butt-Kicking."

+Variable 1: TT is Big and Bad. This has it's own set of variables in that:
a. There is always someone bigger and badder
b. Someone is carrying an equalizer which leads to the 2nd variable.

-Variable 2: TT is packing heat. Again, another set of variables occurs:
a. TT invites trouble.
b. TT goes to prison.
