In 9mm G19 and G17 they ran fine. Good enough I don't even pay attention to what I pull out of the bin. Bought them when I think it was 2 for $10 and threw in a dual mag pouch. Bought ~30 I think. Work great for matches load all the mags night before and relax between stages. They are KCI.

I don't need to test drive a Hyundai when I want a Subaru. I know the Hyundai will likely work, but it's not for me.

Yeah, those were great deals, the mag pouches were easily worth more than $10 so the mags were free.

I'll be using factory Glock mags for HD/SD of course but just wanted to know if these KCI Korean mags are functional for the range or garbage?

they're not as consistent as the factory mags, but mine were generally reliable. occasional failure every once in a while. maybe 1 or 2 every range trip. great for the range. and better than not having a backup mag at all. but for first line defense i'd stick with the glock brand.

I really like them for the range in my G17 and G19. I haven't had any issues.

I'll go one further for the G19 - I like them better [than OEM] in my Gen4 at the range as they tend to sit more flush with the bottom of the grip.

That said, I don't carry them.

Seriously though, nothing wrong with some malf drills.
It's still good to hear they work alright.

I have never had a problem with the KCI mags. I think they are fine for the range.

I guess it depends on luck of the draw. I bought 6 KCI G19 and 6 G23 mags. I had to take them all apart and sand/file (clean up) the insides of all of them because they would hang up while trying to load them and fire them every single time. I also wound up having to replace all their springs with Wolff mag springs before they were fairly useable. When all was said and done with my time invested and the cost of 12 Wolff mag springs it would have been cheaper for me to have just bought Glock brand mags from the start. I have since either sold or given away all my KCI's and replaced them all with the real deal and marked it up as a lesson learned. YMMV.

I have three of the KCI magazines. Within a few months all three of the springs went soft failing to lock the slide back on last round. No big deal they are just range mags. Then the base plate on one broke spitting rounds all over the floor. Now that all three have Wolff mag springs and Glock base plates they function fine.
May God bless us all,
Mike

I've owned a total of 12 KCI 15rd/G19 mags and they've run perfectly in 3 G26s and 2 G19s. Best thing is to take them apart and see if they need any trimming inside or out by comparing them to the factory mags and any factory Glock mag part will fit. They're great for range use, especially at $6 each: http://centerfiresystems.com/koreanglockmags.aspx

ETA: Wanted to add that all 12 drop free as well.

Source for G36 Mags

Anybody? Anybody? There are no G36 mags anywhere in SE PA. And all the e-stores I have checked are "Out of Stock" with no backorders being taken. And Glock does not sell mags directly to the public..... Anyone know where some can be had?

They're shown as in stock here:

http://www.glockmeister.com/G36-GLOC...ctinfo/G36MAG/

But that does not necessarily mean that they are...

I also learned earlier this year, that a Your Order Has Shipped! notice, complete with tracking number, does not necessarily mean that anything was shipped from some of these vendors...

This was the first year in my 58-years, that I three times had to stop payment on a credit card, and in all three cases the credit card issuer sided with me...

Nice, huh?

Glockmeister was and is Out of Stock along with the rest. Gunbroker had no G36 mag listings, but I had not tried Ebay. Appreciate the lead.

That's because when a shipper creates a shipping label/airbill with UPS, UPS creates a tracking number and the data is sent to UPS when the shipper manifest at the end of the day. The shipper's UPS account is billed for that shipment now whether it ever ships or not- it's called 'manifested but not shipped' in the parcel industry.

The shipper is then charging you even though the package may still be sitting in the shippers warehouse waiting for your items to come in so they can ship it out.

Pretty normal stuff.

Understood. Except these vendors ignored my queries, charged my card, and over the course of two weeks, shipped nothing.

I'm a customer, not a lender.

Thanks, though!

I was recently digging through a box of misc. mags at my local gun shop and found two used OEM 9mm 15rd. (non-gen4) mags for $29 each. One had a revision 5 mag follower and the other was a 6 or 9 not sure which. They appear to have been used very lightly, or not at all. Are they worth buying or should I wait until I can find some new ones in stock somewhere?
