How many magazines does the UK consume each year?

If you talking about for "UK magazines Glock produces a day"
than..
> 2,600 magazine are sold every minute of every day in the UK.
> There are currently more than 3,300 consumer magazines in the UK.
> There are some more statistics at http://www.magazineweek.net/facts/ although no the specific answer to your question. I guess it's easy to calculate the total number of magazines sold every year when we already know the number sold every minute.

wyverne, you did good. I got three (2 LEO as new G-17/19 and a 4 gen new G-17) last week off of gunbroker.com for $87.00 ($29.00 ea), but its a far cry from last summers local Police Only supply store (Jenkins) that had used LEO mags $10-$15 ea.

I had the same luck with Ivanhoe, only after I ordered and my card was charged did they tell me they won't ship to New York. They know the ban isn't in effect yet and don't care. Ended up getting a g29 mag from Rockyourglock.com, not cheap but they were instock and shipped very quickly.

Lots to do with supply and demand. (and price gouging). I was told by a friend of mine that works for Glock here in Georgia that Glock as a back order for 750,000 guns and 1,000,000 mags.

The prices for Glock mags on Ebay have been dropping for the last few days. Some of them are back to the actual real MSR prices.

My G22 mags won't feed 9mm worth anything, but I haven't tried with my G23 mags.

Not reliably.
I went through a Vickers class down at USTC where a guy next to me used a LW 9mm conversion barrel and G23 mags, and had issue after issue with his gun.
Me in the blue, the G23 conversion user to my right fiddling with his mag pouch:
While it works sometimes, in a pinch... I wouldn't advocate the practice for anything more than plinking in a gravel pit.

I am seeing some Glocks trickle in for sale at my local shops (G20, G21, G34, G35 were all available this week), but the most common 9mm and .40 models are not available. Magazines are also becoming more available. 750,000 guns is a lot of units, what is Glock's annual production capacity? I saw a number cited in an article from 2009 that they were importing 350,000 guns per year.

After their factory expanded I heard it was up to 2,000 guns a day, but I don't have a reliable source to quote so consider it hearsay until proven otherwise.

I'm see that here also.
Magazines are also becoming more available.
We are seeing a few more now than a few weeks back. One of our larger LEO/GSSF dealers is having to miss GSSF matchs because of lack of inventory.

That I don't know. I also don't know if that is just here or here and Austria combined. Glock has been adding on to the plant to increase production but I don't think it's "up and running" yet. I'll see him again this weekend and try to find out. But then again almost all made here are exported.

My contact at Glock confirmed that 2k average now. Their goal is 1,700/day so they're exceeding that goal, currently.

Well i just got off the phone with them today again about my cancelled order. They told me their inventory online is not live. I had the KCI 19's, Glock 26, and 19mag sleeves. All were backordered.
I guess i'll give them another try.

Glock has been running a 200k+ gun backlog for years now. Their backlog is higher than it's been before, but 4 month lead times were the old norm.
Guns sold in the USA commercially, and to LE, are all imported. Guns made in GA are exported. It has to do with old WWII treaties and Austria being blocked for importation of weapons by some nations still. Pretty stupid when you think about it, but pretty much everyone's Glock they carry in the states wasn't made here...
