Range trip

9u baseball tournament rain out, so took the 13 year old to the range to get him some time with the 19 od...250 flawless rounds from the 19, an additional 100 flawless rounds from my edc 27....

We also decided to rent a hk p30, and what a disappointment that gun was...100 rounds through it resulted in 7 fte's and 2 double feeds....horrible!

Nothing better than time spent with our kids! My son is 16, and now I know what my parents meant when they said 'they grow up so fast'.

We had a nice day here in Georgia, so we went to our property yesterday afternoon and we shot his Savage .17 HMR and my XDs .45. Until we clear some underbrush, we can only shoot out to around 150-175 yards. He can drive tacks with it!

The 27 is on my short list. One of my favorite EDC's is my 26.

Thanks for sharing!

I gotta tell you, I love my 26. I consider the 19 to be one (not the only, but one lol) of the best carry guns ever made. But...my 26 with a Glock +2 mag gives me 13 rounds in a super compact & easy to conceal package.

My buddy & I own a photography studio/company, & I am always carrying. My clients have no idea, & that's just the way I like it.

Thank you for your service.

Took my 13 year old to the range Saturday. Shot my G19, G21, and an AR chambered in 300 Blackout. Precious memories.

Nice. Surprising to hear about the HK P30 though.
But yeah, my OD G19 just shoots all day long. What a pleasure.

Don't discount the awesome G-32/.357sig for ultimate CCW in terms of size/power.

I suppose a G-33 with a +0/+1/GAP floorplate extension would be as good.

I'm really surprised you had issues with the P30. Maybe it hadn't been cleaned in a year.

I had a G33 for several years & really liked it. Compact size & an excellent self defense round.

I traded it due to the availability & cost of ammo. We have consolidated to 9mm & .45 for the time being. I recently saw WWB @ Walmart for $33/50!

.45 ammo prices aren't much better, are they? lol

Yeah, depending on where I find it. I can buy 100 round boxes of WWB for $39.99 at Walmart. We also reload 9 & .45, and that helps control our costs.

You can get a great deal on reloaded .357 Sig at Georgia Arms though. That's where my buddy gets his range ammo.

I am surprised too. Hk's are ridiculously good pistols for the most part, just like Glock.
