White Christmas?
I was thinking about the song today and how during WWII the guys were listening to that song either in some jungle hell or cold place that may or may not have snow on the ground but it sure as hell wasn't home.
Growing up the only way we had a white Christmas was going up to Yosemite and staying in a tent cabin. The next year we stayed in a cabin. I have no idea how we managed not to die of hypothermia that Christmas in the tent.
Not much of CA has a white Christmas. I grew up in the Central Valley where we had grey Christmases. Tule fog from November to March pretty much made me forget the sky was actually blue.
How many of you have a legit white Christmas at least 50% of the time?

North east, over 50% I'd say.
I can't wait for winter in the summer and I can't wait for summer in the winter.

I have a real white christmas just about every year. As I get older, I'm not into in anymore. The cold sucks!

I grew up in Pennsylvania. If I never see snow again it'd be way too soon. Florida winters are much more my speed.

We have had several, but last year was unusually warm, and that's the trend this year as well. I'm not complaining, I don't have to push it off the driveway, and our furnace is not running anywhere near as much as it should be this time of year. Snow's fun if you live in Ca, I was born and raised there. But after the first full winter in Indiana, snow became something that made me cuss when looking out the window.

We live in Pittsburgh PA and usually have snow for Christmas. By the way that movie and song remind me of my childhood.Life was so much simpler then. tom.

I find the song very offensive. I'm dreaming of a multi-cultural Christmas, just like the ones...
No seriously, seems like when I was a kid I remember some white Christmases. Anymore, it seems like an impossibility. I know last year it was like 60something and sunny.

You sound like my aunt on Maui. She and all the other locals go down to the beach and have ham and pineapple for Christmas dinner.

I'd settle for a white Christmas 50% of the time! Here in the Willamette Valley of Oregon, we rarely get snow on the valley floor. Lots of it all around use in the mountains.
2008 was the last white Christmas we had here. Can't even remember when it was before that!
