Top Rated Movie per IMDB
The Shawshank Redemption..........According to the Internet Movie Database this was a 9.2 out of 10 and had 868,960 votes. This movie caused a huge debate among friends. I really liked the movie a lot but I felt other movies like The Dark Knight would be at the top.
Everyone is entitled to their opinion. What do you guys in the lounge think? What would you put a #1.

Was OK, but apples-to-apples The Green Mile was 10x the movie. Ymmv.

If you're asking favorite movie, that gets complicated...
GM is by far my favorite prison movie, with Escape from Alcatraz a distant 2nd.
Favorite classic western? The Man Who Shot Liberty Valance.
Favorite modern western? No Country for Old Men.
Favorite Clint western? the Unforgiven.
Favorite comedy? Favorite musical? The Blues Brothers.

There is absolutely no merit to that list. Tombstone is not in the top 250?
With that said Shawshank Redemption is a great movie. Top 5 for me for sure.

With as many movies that have been pumped out over the years once you get to the top 5-10% becomes a matter of personal choice.
The Shawshank Redemtion is a pretty damn good movie though.

Big Fish is #239, 300 is nowhere, and there's garbage like Oldboy. That list is ridiculous.
