Bob Costas will be chimming in soon on the dangers of.....speeding, alcohol, and/or being a passenger.

its this damned car culture that killed that guy. if he didnt have a car to drive around in he wouldnt have killed his friend. 43,000+ times a year this happens in America. they should ban cars.

And nobody will say anything too negative, because it's with a car, and not a gun.

If Bob has a twitter account people should flood him with this story asking him to speak up on how we don't need alcohol and it should be banned.

Oh! Wait - beer commercials ...

Nah, I'm sure they were either running from a guy with a gun or running to a guy with a hot deal on a gun to buy. It wasn't alcohol or cars, it was guns.

The problem is the laws associated with DWI are too lax. First offense jail time and loss of driving priveledges for a year. Second offense, jail time, fine, and seizure of vehicle and it turned into a cube and returned to you as a cube with a fee of turning it into a cube. This would probably put an end a lot of DWI offenses.

The NFL is actually having trouble getting refs to work the Cowboy games.
The players keep trying to borrow bail money from them.

The sad truth, and the most important point of this incident, is that someone died needlessly because of alcohol. Our pokes at Costas are understandable, but somehow seem a little irreverent under the circumstances.

That's like blaming guns for crime. HH

With a string of DWI's, a death is inevitable.

No. That's like trying to make sure it's harder for them to commit the same crime again.

Did someone die needlessly because of guns too? Alcohol didn't kill anyone.

I'm going to the Dallas game tomorrow.

again, using bob costa's views, alcohol did NOT cause this incident, driving a car did.

Well, if I ran down the street firing my weapon indiscriminately in a drunken state of jubilation, I suspect my weapon would seized. What is the difference between that and a 5 ton weapon that is pointed at a family of five in a state of drunken jubilation?

I know I am the A-hole but I don't feel bad for either of them. If you drive drunk and die you deserve it. If you get in the car with an obviously drunk guy how much different is that? I don't think that much. Its Russian roulette either way.

You're not being an a-hole, just telling the truth.
