Syrian tanks enter Golan Heights

The Associated Press
Posted: Nov 3, 2012 6:32 AM ET

The three tanks entered the DMZ on Saturday and Israel lodged a complaint with U.N. peacekeepers, an Israeli military spokeswoman said, speaking on condition of anonymity in line with military protocol.

They're lucky Israel didn't smoke them.

I guess they figure Obama has enough problems this close to an election?

I think if they wanted to do something they had send more then 3 tanks to that DMZ.
They where probably on the run from some Al Qaida rebels / fighters.
No matter the outcome in Syria getting rid of the fanatics is going to be a bear.

Don't you know the tank driver has brass cajones... How brave do you have to be to drive a tank at Israel through the DMZ. You know the Israelis have a dozen different weapons on that tank every second.

I'm sure they will respond to Israel's concerns lickety-split... And the U.N. is also addressing the widely-acknowledged and infamous problem of "voter suppression" in the United States...!

Has the U.N., in its history, ever been MORE beneficial and, like, relevant...???

Be a hoot if the Syrian tank crews ask for political asylum.

One might ask oneself: why would Syria, in the midst of a civil war, encroach upon the DMZ that separates it from the major military power in the region?

The Syrian government may figure that a newspaper headline of an action against the hated Jewish State may win it some points among hardline factions within Syria.

Yes, that is a gymnastic interpretation. Yes methinks we must use our critical thinking skills to deconstruct this event. Who gains from this most? Who has the most to lose?

I think they were chasing some of them islamic bandits, that making trouble in Syria...
And generally thing like this happen during wars and military actions... American airplains for example, were bombing Switzerland by mistake during WWII

I doubt the tanks had a clue where they were.
Israel is just handling the formalities before whacking some Syrians.
