Welcome to Glock Talk. Pepper spray is properly used as an alternative to bare-handed fighting, and is unlikely to suffice in situations where deadly force is justifiably called for.

And, in fairness to the folks on the clip you provided, I didn't see them portray it in any other way.

It won't work on everyone in every situation...but then, that's true of bullets.
