They will be just like current Gen 3's except with the RTF2 frame (straight serrations).
Looks like GLOCK has taken notice on the resurged interest in RTF2.

I hope they eventually do a run of Gen4 g19s with gills. I really like the gills on my rtf2 17.

Personally, I couldn't care less about the scalloped serrations. It's just as easy to rack either slide. It's all about the grip for me. I do hope they make the RTF2 grip available again.

Yes I am quite curious myself. Are they making US-made RTF2s now?

Not really.
I had a consecutive serial numbered pair of RTF2 17s that were crap. Brass to the face and something was wrong that caused the trigger pull to get progressively heavier and cause excessive wear to the trigger bar in about 1K rounds.
It was a frame out of spec problem, new parts did not fix it.

I actually find the gills to grip better which is odd. Looking at them I figured they wouldn't work well. I don't ever want them to be standard but I do like it as an option.

Kinda disappointed they don't have gills. I am waiting on mine from Buds and that's the only reason I purchased it. That and it was only $455 shipped.

I finally got an answer out of him and he said the first letter started with an "A" and that he wasn't even comfortable providing that. I told him I would refuse to buy from Bud's because they were not providing me the information I needed to help me decide if I wanted to buy it.
He said he was fine not selling to me.
I wonder if it starts with an "A"......if its a totally made in USA gun. I saw some pics of a Glock with a "USA" slide that had AAAA as the first four letters of the serial number

That's kind of dick-ish.
What difference does it make if you're over the phone or in store.. Are they gonna cover up the serial when your in store looking at the gun?

I like the gills too. I think too many gill haters complained about the gills and Glock stopped making them.

I have to admit when I first saw them I wasn't a fan at all but when I put hands on one that changed.

I just seen a G17 RTF2 (GEN 3) with "USA" on the slide instead of Austria, in a local store the other day; it was gone today. I remember that the serial number started with AAAC8. It has the same test fire date of 11-20-2012 as the AAAC6## above and it did NOT have the "fish gills", but had the straight serrations.
