Glock Confusion

I am kind of new to the gun game. I have a glock 19, I haveread all the instruction that came with the gun. First off I was unaware somethingwould eject to the right side after I pulled the trigger. I thought the wholeround went down range. Second after the last round my slide would stay lockedback. Well my question, are all the actions normal?

Thanks

1. You need to study up a little on the basic operation of a semiautomatic pistol as well as a cartridge.

2. If it's not locking back you are probably touching the slide lock and preventing it from popping up.

Make it a priority to take a safety class. It'll be fun and you'll learn a lot.

First thing. Do NOT trust your new gun to serve any self defense concerns until you have received training. Your opening post indicates you are woefully lacking in the most basic firearms knowledge. Do yourself, and everyone around you, a favor and get fundamental firearms training as soon as possible. Do NOT load and fire that gun before you do this.

This is by no means meant as a flame or anything derogatory. Everyone has to start somewhere and no one is born with this. We don't want you to get injured or for you to injure anyone else because of you lack of basic and essential knowledge. So get that training before you do anything else with your firearm.

Not sure I can add anything here except STEP AWAY FROM THE GUN!!!

OK, now a +1 on some form of training. It is truly in your best interests and any others in your direct contact.

The slide locking back on the last round is normal and happens in all semiauto pistols. Only problem is when it does not lock back! Other than that, you're good to go.

Now go forth and seek some instruction.
