Does Bosch make good kitchen appliances?
Just like the title says. I have used Bosch tools and most of them are great. I killed there reciprocating saw in less than a week though. It was spitting grease like a drunk spits out a chew can.
I own a number of B tools and really like them. Good stuff. I looked at a natural gas cook top for the kitchen and my wife and I really liked the layout of it and the look and the apparent usefulness of it. What I need to know is, will it crap out like that sawzall.
Thanks for your help GT braintrust.

just bought a Bosch dishwasher. Way too early to tell if it'll last, but it's VERY quiet and seems to be well-made. works well.

Now that's interesting right there. However, I love Ford and many folks will line up to B and moan about how crappy they are. Need more info.

I have an ancient Bosch dishwasher that I adore. It's the best dishwasher I have ever owned. It came with the house. It is my only experience with Bosch.

I tried to convince my wife they did, wanted to get her a nice Bosch drill for our anniversary. Told her when she wasn't using it in the kitchen I could use it.
She didn't find the argument compelling.

Bosch dishwasher owner for 10 years. Would buy another in a heartbeat. Quiet. Cleans dishes well. Not a single issue.

I have a Bosch dishwasher. Compared to our old dishwashers, it is very quiet. How quiet depends on what we have loaded in it and how the stuff is put in there.

Have Bosch dishwasher, washer, and dryer. The dishwasher is the only one that hasn't needed multiple repairs.
The board fried in the washer, lucky we had the extended warranty, otherwise it was a $400 repair.
The bearings have been going in the dryer for about a year, repairman said to run it until it dies, $600 to replace the bearings.
These are appliances that are six years old and all were top of the line. No, I would never buy Bosch appliances again!

I've had good luck with their dishwashers and ovens. No experience with anything else.

We did a total kitchen about 4 or 5 years ago and went all Thermador (Bosch) including double oven, dishwasher, 6 burner range and built in fridge and freezer. Not a problem yet.
The dishwasher is so quite that it has a red light that projects onto the floor so you know its on. Unless something is situated in their weirdly you have to look for the light.
