Don't forgrt to look outside tonight if your sky is clear
Jupiter is right next to the full moon. The two brightest objects in the sky tonight.

It is truly beautiful
As the moon was coming over the horizon, it had a wonderful orangish, red glow. Even my 7 yo daughter was in awe.
Jupiter appears much closer to the moon now than earlier.

We had trouble sleeping last night... the moon was so bright that it was like dusk. I could see quite clearly at distance... watch a couple of deer saunter through our property... if only I had the gumption to get my but out of the cabin... too cold and didn't feel like dealing with dressing a deer on a work night. Tonight is supposed to be storming up hells creek so... the wind and rain beating on the walls and roof will keep us up tonight.

Jupiter has been beautiful this month. It's at opposition (or near it) which makes it bright, and full.
Grab your 80X spotting scope and check out the 4 major moons. I swear I can see some atmospheric banding in my scope.

Not a cloud in the sky tonight for me. I noticed that earlier since I wasn't used to seeing a star there. Thanks for the info!

Yes. It is a real app. It's pretty cool. I don't follow what's in the sky and when. However when I walk the dog, it's neat to see an object and then look to see what it is or what the constellation is.

I text my sister the info as well, since her 8 year old Loves anything involving space. He was super excited.
