Actually Arkansas has, so far as I know, the only diamond mine in the lower 48. Keep digging. Maybe it will soon have the only TWO...

State park near me has the remains of a Civil War era iron-smelting furnace; stuff like that is scattered all over the creek sides.

My bet is slag glass like you see along the highway gift shops on the way to Hot Springs. Especially since you are in Arkansas.

My first thought was obsidian. I have some of the common black, and others that are clear as glass with black streaks running through. I have read that it can come in a variety of colors, depending on impurities. Here is the first reference to green I could find lol:

There is a diamond "park" where anyone can go dig for diamonds and keep whatever you find.It's on my "things to do list".

Don't care what they are. They are gorgeous and would make some nice rings, earrings or pendants. Cut them up and polish them.
