for best adhesion of the Talon grip through away the wipe. soak a paper towel with alcohol and swab it all over the grip. next dry the alcohol real good with a hair dryer getting the grip good and warm. then apply grip as directed.

I'm really liking the rubberized talon grip. I didn't know if it would make much of a difference since the gen4's come with an aggressive textured grip, but it makes a big difference to me..... Now I have a decision to make.... Trijicon or Meprolight night sights? Decisions, decisions....

I prefer Trijicon, but Meprolight is a quality sight maker too. I guess the choice is personal preference.

I have Truglo TFOs on my G30 and G21. Love them. They are always super bright.

I have to check them out in person i guess. I haven't even zero'ed the factory sights and i'm getting great shot grouping, so i am a bit leary about changing. You know what they say.... If it's not broke. But the primary function of this weapon is home defense, so i feel that night sights are a must.

Also, i found a really cheap tactical light that has some pretty decent reviews on Amazon. The front end is plastic so it's not the best for field use, but this is for home defense so it should be fine. Especially at $35 bucks! ... So you know i had to order one..... They say it will arrive tomorrow..... I'll keep you posted.

I'm not a big fan of weapon lights on a pistol for home defense. I would rather not give an intruder a perfect target of myself by presenting a bright spot to shoot at. I would much rather remain in the dark, and use that to my advantage. But that's just me.

If I need a light, I do have one at my bedside.

most tactical weapon lights are blinding bright enough to make pretty hard for the bad guy to look at in the dark. I understand your thinking but most LE entry teams use them for the blinding effect.
I use both and most SD experts agree to have a handheld light with a weapons light for a home owner.

I was referring to weapon lights on a pistol for "Home Defense", not LE entry, these are quite different scenarios. One is OFFENSIVE and the other DEFENSIVE.

Weapon lights have their place, just not on my handgun.

I hear you. I definitely don't want to lose the element of surprise and give away my position, but in darkness, light can be a battlefield multiplier.

Anyway, it has arrived.

It looks good man, and if YOU like it, that's all that matters. Great looking G30 for sure.

Thanks. I like it for sure. The quality is way better than i expected for $40 bucks. It also has a strobe feature that i really like. Yea. I would definitely recommend this product. Bang for your buck can not be beat.

Hey guys just thought I'd join the group. Picked up my G30 a week ago. Love the gun, have Trijicon night sights. Gun shoots great. I did have a failure to return to battery a couple of times in the 200 rounds I fired, but that could have been an operator error. I'll figure that out the next outing. I've heard a little break in is in order with the 30. Like I aid I'll figure it out the next 200 to 300 rounds.
